Grants for Norwegian Citizens
The Norwegian Fulbright program offers a wide range of long- and short-term opportunities for Norwegian citizens to study, conduct research and teach in the United States.
The traditional Fulbright program offers grants to Norwegian scholars (postdoc level) who wish to do research and/or teach in American institutions of higher education or other recognized research institutions. A special Arctic Chair grant, generously funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is offered to scholars in Arctic Sciences. Norwegian graduate students (must have BA) are also eligible for Fulbright grants to study at American universities.
The US-Norway Fulbright Foundation and the US Department of State offer short-term summer study opportunities to Norwegian secondary school teachers and Norwegian students between the ages 18-22. These Summer Institutes are five to six week programs at American college and university campuses, including additional travel.
